Cava is located in the heart of historic downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It is the dream of two long time friends John Akar and Gregg Sessler to combine their years of experience in the restaurant business to build Cava. We feature two wine bars and a chef's bar serving modern and classic Mediterranean cuisine. Chef Sessler uses only the freshest seasonal products available to create his innovative menus. The "tapas" or small plates are all meant to be shared and enjoyed amongst friends. Cava's diverse international wine list is geared toward tasting, enjoyment and experimentation.
